Inspections

Don't settle for a standard visual home inspection that may overlook hidden problems! Thermal imaging exposes potential problems in living color. Every material has a unique thermal signature and when moisture, heat, cold, or pests are introduced the thermal signature changes. The changes can vary significantly but with a trained inspector using thermal imaging technology they are detectable where they can't be seen with the naked eye. This is not a "magic bullet," but is used along with other technology and experience to help identify issues and concerns during the inspection process.

A Thermal Shot inspection goes beyond the typical; we check the structure's systems (roof, attic, foundation, electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling, appliances, floors, interior and exterior walls, and garages) for function and safety both visually and with infrared technology. An online report is provided after your inspection summarizing all the problems found along with potential causes of problems and pictures showing exactly where the problem is located.

Enhance Your Inspection Results

To achieve the maximum benefit of your inspection, prepare by following these tips:

  • Plan optimal times of day for your inspection—dawn and dusk.
Added heat from strong sunlight may reduce effectiveness.
  • Verify the indoor/outdoor temperature difference.
Indoor and outdoor temperatures should vary by at least ten degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Clear outermost interior walls of large pictures and furniture.
Leave the majority of the walls visible to the camera.
  • Close windows.
